Iris' heart lurched in her chest, the steady beating rhythym thumping in her ears. Squatting in an alley outside of Durth's tavern she patiently waited. Mud squished under her worn out shoes; slinking and settling in and between the holes. The roads were empty as another eerie silence swept across the barren streets. A ball of anxiety bounced around her stomach with no intention of settling. The flickering of the candles among the tables shone through the two front windows. The big wooden door burst open as Durth - the owner - threw out yet another customer. Curses were exchanged between the two, echoeing into the endles
